Sometimes I have my “senior moments” and I forget what day it is but someone informed me that Black Friday is 38 days away! Luckily I have senior citizen life insurance to help my young ones and grandkids but that is another story for another time! It is hard to believe that we are almost a month away from Black Friday. I will keep updating some of the retailers I have mentioned as they continue to offer some great prices heading into the Christmas holiday shopping season.
In the last few days I have talked about both WalMart and Best Buy TV sales predictions for Black Friday but today I am going to talk about a retailer that is a little bit smaller – Frys. For those who live in California or Texas you probably know what Frys is but many living on the east coast have never heard of this company. Think of HHGregg and TigerDirect put together when it comes to an electronic retailer.
Although Frys is a huge electronics retailer they do not have a large selection of HD TVs. Below is a listing of the LCD and LED TVs that they currently have on their website as of late July 2011:
SAMSUNG UN40D6300
40.0″ LED 120HZ 1080P HDTV
LG 42LK520
42.0″ LCD 120HZ 1080P
SAMSUNG UN40D6000
40″ 1080P 120HZ LED HDTV,SMART
SAMSUNG UN55D6300
54.6″ LED 120HZ 1080P HDTV
LG 47LV3700
46.9″ LED HDTV,2M:1 CONTRAST
LG 32LK450
3-1.5″ FULL HD 1080P LCD HDT
LG 32LK330
31.5″ 720P LCD HDTV,60HZ,70,00
SAMSUNG UN32D5500
32″ 1080P LED HDTV,CONNECT SHA
Panasonic TC-L42D30
42.0″ 1080P LED HDTV,120HZ,
Unfortunately, it is very hard to make price predictions as the prices on their website are just retail and not the true price. For those who live near a Frys it might be smart to wander into on of the stores a few days before Black Friday or the major sales holidays and see what items are over stocked. The items that have huge stacks all the way to the ceiling will be the items that are marked down for Black Friday and Cyber Monday in 2011.
This is a tactic that I love to use in any major retailer. When you go in to Best Buy or WalMart over the next few months make sure to look up and see all the boxes in the rafters. These are the items that will be on sale later in the year as they have to get the particular items distributed to all the stores throughout the country. If you see a particular TV or laptop that you like and there are 20 boxes of them then you can guess that they will be marked down during the Black Friday sale. To find out just how much they will be marked down you will have to wait until the early part of November when the sales ads are leaked onto the Internet.
I hope you have enjoyed my first few Black Friday sales articles so far and you can be rest assured that many more will be coming. Like I’ve said, I am going to try to do at least one a day so make sure to come back and check them out all the way until November…
As we get closer and closer to Christmas many will look to send a Christmas eCard on Facebook. It is amazing how popular Facebook and Twitter have become as most people are adapting to the social media explosion. Soon Hallmark is going to have to rethink their business strategy. We continue to get closer and closer to 2012 which means that many will start their search for Walmart end of Year sales 2011. Doing this research could help some save quite a bit of cash.
